Chiropractic Adjustments:
The doctor uses several types of adjustments, including manual (diversified) technique, Activator, Pelvic blocking, Thomson Drop technique, and Intersegmental Traction.

Myofascial Release
This is a form of soft tissue therapy that provides pain relief and increases range of motion. It combines stretching with applied pressure into areas of soreness, most commonly the muscle or tendon. This allows the underlying fascia (connective tissue) to reorganize into a more flexible, functional fashion.
Therapeutic Ultrasound
Not to be confused with diagnostic ultrasound, which is used to monitor pregnancy. Therapeutic Ultrasound is a physiotherapy treatment that uses sound waves to promote healing. This happens two ways. First, it creates a thermal effect to reduce pain levels. Second, it creates a vibration that directly stimulates cell membranes and promotes the cell repair process.
Ultrasound is sometimes used to enhance the delivery of pharmaceuticals, such as cortisone, to target tissues. This is called Iontophoresis.
Electrical Stimulation
Electrical Stimulation is another form of physiotherapy treatment. This therapy elicits muscle contraction through electric impulses. By doing this, inflammation and swelling is reduced locally through the lymphatic system, promoting faster healing. In addition, it helps retrain the muscle so that it does not remain as tight.
Flexion-Distraction
Flexion-Distraction is a form of traction adjustment that stops pain, realigns the spine and restores ranges of motion inherent to the spine. This technique is one of the most effective treatment available for sciatica and lumbar disc injuries and is even safe in treating patients with failed back surgery.
Therapeutic Stretches
All patients are taught a series of stretches that are specific to his or her condition and are asked to follow the doctor’s instructions. These will help reduce pain and tightness and will provide a longer lasting effect to your office treatments.
Therapeutic Exercises
Each patient is instructed and trained to perform therapeutic exercises. These exercises will help reduce stiffness and increase flexibility while simultaneously strengthening weak muscles, which are often the cause for injuries in the first place.
Instructions & Guidance
The doctor will provide individualized advice and guidance on things you can do to help with your condition. This may include applying ice at home, recommending periodic breaks at work, or even suggesting a new type of pillow.
Referral and Medical Co-management
We are never afraid to admit that we may need help. If during the course of your treatment the doctor feels he needs to refer you for medical co-management or for diagnostic imaging, he will do so without hesitation.
